Do you know any vendors who sell r-phenylpiracetam ?
"The effect of (R)-phenylpiracetam is much stronger than that of methylphenidate and amphetamine. Moreover, (S)-phenylpiracetam produces only a very weak effect at 100 mg/kg, which is 2.5 times lower than (R)-phenylpiracetam, and no significant effect at 200 mg/kg."
"[0055] More detailed pharmacological data with (R)-phenylpiracetam have been published recently by the same authors (Zvejniece et al., Basic Clin Pharmacol Toxicol. 109, 407-12, 201 1 ). In the open-field test a significant increase in locomotor activity was found, which was just slightly stronger with the (R)-phenylpiracetam compared to (S)- phenylpiracetam. Also in the forced swim test, used as a model for depression, (R)- phenylpiracetam was also only slightly more potent than (S)-phenylpiracetam. However, in the passive avoidance test, (R)-phenylpiracetam enhanced memory function significantly better than (S)-phenylpiracetam. The authors conclude that these results may be important for the clinical use of optically pure isomers of phenylpiracetam"

They like the simple synths that they can sell to lots of vendors.
I hadn't considered this dynamic. It makes an annoying amount of sense.

Because we do so many new things, I have to deal with this all the time. I have to talk labs into taking away time from their normal synths, so they can do a side project for me that might not pan out. Many of our test synths fail to scale to production sizes, or have low yields. So they have to weigh the pros and cons of accepting a synthesis. Sometimes I pay to have test synths done myself, to take the risk off them. Even then, sometimes their time is better spent elsewhere.
Then once we prove something is viable, and start selling it, everyone and their mother jumps on it. Other labs contact us to offer compounds, that we originally spent time and money making work, for cheaper. Then other vendors pick up on the compounds, and undercut us without taking on any risk. The lab we used gets shafted too, because the other suppliers undercut their prices. That happens to everyone, though. It's just part of the business.
