DMSO-Dihexa ocular/eyeball delivery

Original post in this thread

dihexa · 5 points

After using Dihexa through different ROIs (IM, oral, transdermal DMSO, through the nose) and at different doses, I am a little frustrated that I haven't had any real 'success'/'breakthroughs' with it (beside a few vivid dreams), unlike others, who have posted their positive results across several forums.

I'm interested in using DMSO (75%) to dissolve what I have left of this hydrophobic peptide and then deliver it ocullarly to achieve maximum bioavailability. Besides IV (which isn't an option for me), there doesn't appear to be any decent ROIs with high enough bioavailability. I can't find much (officially) about the safety of applying DMSO to the eyeballs, which is my major concern... beside this paper excerpt from 1968:

if any single fact has emerged from animal and human studies with DMSO to date, it is that the lens toxicity findings originally reported in dogs and later confirmed in certain other species have no equivalent or counterpart in human therapy utilizing DMSO in generally accepted regimens.

My solution of DMSO-Dihexa would be about 30 drops in total. That's 50mg of Dihexa diluted in ~30 drops of 75% DMSO-saline to then be dropped into my eye/s.

What do you…

Could you weigh in on the 12 day half-life I've heard purported? It's difficult to believe but not out of the question.

It does have a long half life. It was 12 days in rats, when injected IV. The modifications to the peptide protect it from degradation much better than just N and C-terminal modifications.

What's the word on Dihexa?

Replying to Debonaire_Death · I discussed it some with MYASD in a thread awhile back. He said that because it's a very complex (14-mer) peptide, it is very expensive to make and would have to be sold at a disti

Wait, I said Dihexa was 14-mer? That's not right. It's a modified tripeptide. WTF was I thinking in the other thread?

$70 per gram?!? For me to reach cost price on that, I would have to do over a kilogram of it. I am not even sure if that would do it. Do they have 500 people in that group buy at 2g each? Either my lab is overshooting me

What happened to NSI-189?

Replying to Debonaire_Death · I don't see why none of the cutting-edge synth retailers (THT, Ceretropic) haven't started to carry dihexa. Obviously there is a demand for it. I would happily buy it if I didn't h

I've known about Dihexa for over a year. I have even tried to get it synthed a while back. It's a 14 mer peptide, so it is very expensive. FGL, which is a 15 mer peptide, is even more promising. However, it too is too ex

Dipeptide analogs of piracetam, noopept, sulpiride,... exhibiting far superior potency and specificity to their putative mechanisms.

They are not talking about analogs of noopept. Noopept IS the analog they are discussing. The other compounds are not analogs of piracetam, either. They took inspiration from some of the functional groups, but they are V
