Long term effects of Super Rhodiola ?

I have started taking super rhodiola (Ceretropics) daily for the last four days and am finding that it significantly improves my mood and focus. As a matter of fact I really like it ! I am taking the recommended dose once per day in the morning. My mood and focus were not deficient prior to rhodiola, so I'm using it as an enhancement rather than therapy. Because of this, I'm not willing to sacrifice health for its benefits. I am a 65 year old male in good physical condition and still working as an earth scientist.
I know the two active substances in the extract are synthetics of natural substances, but the amounts are much greater than they are in the plant, correct ?
So, what might be the health downsides to long term daily use of super rhodiola ? Would cycling mitigate these ?
If so, what would be the recommended cycle ?
Apologies if this is common knowledge, I have attempted to research all I could.

A lot of these studies suggest that salidroside has antioxidant properties. Taking this into account, would it be a good idea to keep Super Rhodiola away from the workout so that it doesn't interfere with your ability to adapt to the inflammation caused by exercise?
edit: fyi, the lowest salidroside dose in the "Anti-fatigue effects of salidroside in mice" study was about ~4 mg / kg for a human, so basically impossible doses to get.

In theory, taking Salidroside around the time of working out could hinder muscle growth. That would be an interesting study to do.
And yes, the dosage used in that study was really high; much higher than any human would get in a Rhodiola dose. However, even doing a direct calculation of allometric scaling does not always work. I have a ton of Salidroside here at the office. I suppose I could risk a large dose, and see how it affects me.
