Long term effects of Super Rhodiola ?

Original post in this thread

mintakax · 19 points

I have started taking super rhodiola (Ceretropics) daily for the last four days and am finding that it significantly improves my mood and focus. As a matter of fact I really like it ! I am taking the recommended dose once per day in the morning. My mood and focus were not deficient prior to rhodiola, so I'm using it as an enhancement rather than therapy. Because of this, I'm not willing to sacrifice health for its benefits. I am a 65 year old male in good physical condition and still working as an earth scientist.
I know the two active substances in the extract are synthetics of natural substances, but the amounts are much greater than they are in the plant, correct ?
So, what might be the health downsides to long term daily use of super rhodiola ? Would cycling mitigate these ?
If so, what would be the recommended cycle ?
Apologies if this is common knowledge, I have attempted to research all I could.

Thanks for chiming in Mister-- I'm a big fan ! I'm going to read all that you posted because I really like the product. I just want to be sure to ingest it intelligently.
I've also dabbled with the NASEMAX which I also like, but am being ever more cautious with.

Glad you are liking it! We are going to be doing more things like it too, with other plant extracts.

I've flown pretty much everywhere. I was going to get to Saudi Arabia, but my class cancelled a couple weeks before. However, in the middle east I have been to Egypt, UAE (Dubai), Qatar, and Turkey. My experience is that

Powder City hooked me up

Replying to otistoole · > Remember that kratom is not a nootropic, and should be suggested with care. No need to remind me, I offered more than one caveat in my post, and wouldn't have even suggested it

My comment was more for everyone else reading. You have to remember that a lot of people come here who are just starting out, and might see kratom being mentioned on a nootropics subreddit, then automatically consider it

Nootropics mostly suck

Expectations are never going to meet reality, the vast majority of the time. People need to really come at this from a curiosity and education standpoint. That being said, grouping all nootropics together does them a di

Best "natural" alternative to Adderall / Vyvanse?

Replying to Rage_Boner · Not natural, but semax.

I love semax, but a replacement for amphetamines? Maybe combining it with some other natural stimulants like rhodiola and caffeine.

It depends on what you are look for. Semax, and it's N-Acetyl version, have been the most effective for me personally. The new neuropeptides are pretty cool. However, there are so many other substances out there. Natural
