where can i get my supplement tested ?

Original post in this thread

is there a lab that i can send a sample to and get them to tell me what the powder in the capsule is ?

i don't feel that this batch that i m taking is having any effect at all and wondering if i m taking something else and potentially harmful instead ? and if the thing i am taking is what the label claims to be then i gotta get on a different stack because i have developed resistance towards it... i just want to figure this out and then decide what i need to do.

i don't mind paying for the tests and bearing the cost of logistics etc.

PM me if you want to be discreet about it.

Hoping someone come thru... thanks

ND kind of got out of most nootropics due to risk so unlikely to help

I belive MYASD mentioned a testing service in the works but as with anything it takes time.

You guys should form a group similar to the Wi-Fi alliance(which guarantee's anything with its sticker on would will work with anything else). Everyone pays in a fee to join and is randomly tested those that pass (likely NSN, powder city, ceretropic, ND) then get top ratings and can advertise as such. Could also test other non member samples

Any new vendor pops up should be asked what their rating is, if they are a member etc. The main problem would be if someone sends the lab something DEA controlled though as you would need the full license for that. Personal memberships can be sold to fund raise for those of us without skin in the game but as consumers.

If the bigger suppliers could join up with someone like Dr Micheal Ludwig who post's here this could stop a lot of the "China Syndrome" vendors that trust whatever comes in a bag. I guess that is hard though as no one is a massive business and i'm sure you are all on tighter margins then we think. I know i rant on about nootropics being a grey area but i think a small industry body with guidelines could also exist and rpovide a lot of harm reduction.

I test people's stuff all the time. I just tested that mystery blue peptide TLR sent to another Redditor, and got some interesting results. We assumed it was their GHK/GHK-Cu peptide they are offering, due to the color. The issue is that it does not contain the functional groups for the GHK peptide. It is missing peaks for the ketones, primary and secondary amines, along with the alkane structure.

That is the spectrum, along with the closest match to it. It matches Poria, a fungus extract. Also, it clearly has mannitol in it, which is normal for peptides. That is used to stabilize it during the lyophilization process. The difference in the two spectra are due to that mannitol, which has a lot of hydroxyl groups. Those hydroxyl groups are making the peak at 3184 a lot higher, and shifting it compared to the Poria sample.

I made this picture too.

That was me messing around in Chemdoodle, and showing where I would expect peaks to show up, if the sample contained GHK or GHK-Cu. Ketones will always be a large peak at 1705-1725. The three pink peaks are where primary amines would show up. There are three, since the primary amine would have three vibrational states. Keep in mind I am still new to analytical chemistry, so I have been doing a lot of reading. However, I think that analysis of the FTIR is pretty good. For sure the primary amines and ketone peaks are missing. Without those, it is not GHK.

Anyway, I want to setup an independent testing organization. It's just a time-consuming process. For now I am just testing things when I have time. Getting it all setup formally will be down the line.

Dipeptide analogs of piracetam, noopept, sulpiride,... exhibiting far superior potency and specificity to their putative mechanisms.

They are not talking about analogs of noopept. Noopept IS the analog they are discussing. The other compounds are not analogs of piracetam, either. They took inspiration from some of the functional groups, but they are V
