Freebase Tianeptine

I just received some Tianeptine from a new vendor and to my surprise it is in freebase form which is great because when Tianeptine is in it's original form it's hard to dose and it tastes disgusting without capsules. I'm assuming it's going to lose some potency in this form? Does any have any idea how strong it is? Was also wondering if it is possible to dose this sublingualy? When I tried to dose the original Tianeptine it burnt the inside of my mouth.
Thanks

I know this is old, but what would make the freebase unavailable? If it's a sodium salt, that should just separate into sodium and tianeptine ions upon exposure to moisture in the body anyway, right? I add tianeptine sodium to my coffee and it still is pretty psychoactive.

Because the sodium prevents the freebase from binding to insoluble bile salts in the GI tract.
