Has memantine actually helped you?

Do you take memantine, and for what do you take it? Has it helped you?

I'm having a hard time titrating upwards from 10mg without getting brain fog and the feeling of detachment. Is 10mg sufficient to counter stimulant tolerance or do I have to go all the way up to 30mg?

Thanks.

I regret taking it everytime.

I took roughly 4 mg today and I feel detached from reality.

Well it will be a fun week I guess...lol

80 hour half lives ftw

But makes me wonder if this is how schizophrenia feels. Is this why they smoke so much? Is memantines positive effects really due to NMDA antagonism or is it due to NAchR upregulation.

The first time I took memantine I was also sleep deprived and I felt like I was going insane.

I always get anxious that the brainfog is permanent, if I didnt get anxiety from it I could see it being slightly enjoyable.

This is the same reason I dislike marijuana, I cant stand feeling disassociated.

Honestly I would place very little faith in any results from studies. The biggest problem is that the samples are not even close to being random. In fact calculating randomness itself requires a turing machine capable of solving the halting problem.

Im not saying I could do better but let us not get ahead of ourselves here. Our knowledge about the body is actually quite primitive.

The most amusing thing is when you hear doctors say stuff like "adderall does not have a withdrawal after therapeutic use according to research."

I hate to break it to you but that means your research is worthless.

As I said yesterday do not forget that medicine killed more people than it saved until the discovery of antibiotics.

strong empirical evidence…

Do you smoke regularly? Mixing nicotine and memantine does not lead to good effects. I had horrible results when I was using nicotine, which were starkly contrasted to the results I got before starting nicotine. I can honestly say that for me, combining nicotine and memantine is a very bad idea.

Are Increased Gaba Receptors By Chronic Caffeine Intake A Good Thing?

Nicotine up-regulates nicotinic ACh receptors, but also desensitizes them. It's more complex than just up/down-regulation. Acutely, caffeine lowers GABAergic neurotransmission. [Inhibitory effect of caffeine on GABA-ac

Ohh I know. It just also makes it more addictive.
