Phenibut destroys my depression. Why not daily?

People wean off this drug with success, similarly to SSRIs.
Looking at the withdrawal of SSRIs, it's no less risky to withdraw from Phenibut.
Why is this substance deemed high risk, when it's very effective for depression/anxiety?
Is there another reason it shouldn't be dosed daily, besides the withdrawal effects?
Thank you

I was doing some searches, and look who asked this 3 months before I made my thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/2g2y53/help_with_synthesis_of_main_metabolite_of/
Don't think he'd be willing to share anything he might have learned now, though. :p

I had not seen that thread. It's not the synthesis itself working that is the problem. It's scaling it up to production size, without having it fail. My lab can make small amounts of each just fine. However, to make the price reasonable, we need larger production synths to work. If demand is high enough, I can keep trying. With enough money, anything is possible.
