Hello,

I have bought raw maca capsules from Puritan's Pride 1000mg. Intending to take 1 in the morning, 1 at night for libido.

The thing is that after i take it I feel like I'm lightly high, have a nottoo strong headache and I generally don't feel up to do anything for a while. Is this a normal effect on Maca?

Also, I've been reading about raw vs gelatinized, is raw really that bad for me? I haven't noticed any stomach upsets, but I only took 2 pills so far.

So are these 4:1 Maca Extracts not as bad for stomach as other kinds of Maca supplements?

I have not done enough research to say one way or another. I would hazard to guess they are safer, since the starches found in raw maca should not be there.
