Since it is uncontrolled in the U.S., it is being sold as a nootropic, but it sometimes fall under as TCA (tricyclic antidepressant) and as analgesic affecting the opioid receptor.

Correct. I apologize if I came across unclear. I only meant to convey that the subjective rush of 100mg iv tianeptine is roughly equal to the subjective rush of 100mg heroin hcl. I can't speak for European freebase or west coast tar, only east coast hcl.
My research concerns reward and reinforcement. Oral opioids cannot really even be compared to IV opioids, and the people abusing tianeptine are usining it IV. They will run out of veins soon though so hopefully it is a self limiting problem.

That is very surprising to me. I will have to take their word for it, as I am not going to be trying it. Oral/sublingual Tianeptine is certainly not equal to the euphoria of other oral opioids, though.
