Tianeptine abusers- Another reason your misuse may affect responsible consumers

I will remove this post in a few days as not to crud up the search engine with things related to abuse of tianeptine. Perhaps this is commn sense and should go without saying, but this was an interesting thought:
We some places in the US are starting to pull Tianeptine, and some places are running out of it. A lot of people speculate that it was caused by the 2014 study that tianeptine is a MOR and DOR agonist (albeit very mild) and Tianeptine is also a drug with some known abuse potential. This could be part of the reason why. Obviously there are legal repercussions could in theory happen (example someone stupid would overdose). But other substances like Kratom and Phenibut are very widely available in the US, sold by many companies.
But it could also be because the owners of nootropics sites know that they are selling ridiculous amounts to one person and they obviously have a problem. Granted, it may go unnoticed at first but after you keep selling it in large amounts to the same people isn't that going to bother them? It brings up a moral dilemma then really. I think that it's part of the reason people are backing out
Again im not talking down to anyone, but we should c…

Okay.. It's a lot different. Semax has been shown to modulate the expression of TKRB (and it's a sub sequence of ACTH) and P21 is based off of cerebrolysin. Mephedrone is based off amphetamine. Try N-acetyl-semax in higher doses and tell me it's not as strong as a classical stimulant. There is overlap in this community between safe recreational use and nootropic use. Hell, this entire sub was spawned from a discussion about preventing MDMA neurotoxicity. I think we can differentiate ourselves from the RC community by actually using responsibly. Look at the thread on the front page today about someone tapering phenibut. Most people in this sub can recognize when they need to taper. I think what makes us different is a desire for safe use of peptides, drugs and vitamins.
Vitamins can be quite dangerous too but you don't see vitamin freaks being compared to RC users. Heavy metals in untested plant extracts can be dangerous but we take the concern to find out which sources are free of such contamination. We simply have more care to test what we put in our bodies before we take it every day. I wish people in the vitamins and RC community did the same.

What you talking about, Willis? This sub was here long before I came around. I may have gotten interested in neurochemistry because of MDMA and depression. However, this sub did not spawn from that.
But your argument still stands. Why does everyone always have to compare things to each other? We are researching chemicals, so I suppose there are parallels. It's the nature of that research that differs. There are also plenty of people taking proven safe supplements, and have no interest in any of the new untested compounds. There is overlap and grey areas. But what advantage do we have to continually try and compare using new nootropic chemicals, to trying to get high off new recreational chemicals?
