Unfortunately, I have some bad news. Jason (/u/Guacamolium), my business partner and co-founder of Ceretropic has died. He was found dead in his apartment on Friday afternoon. He had not come in for a few days, and was not answering his phone. I got a little worried, so /u/Synzael and I decided to go check on him. After he did not answer, we decided to get the police to come down. When they entered his apartment, they found him dead inside.
The toxicology screen will not be back for a few weeks. However, Jason had been having a few problems with Xanax and drinking. He was never one to be careful with his own safety, and would often have horrible insomnia. This led to him turning to Xanax and alcohol to try and get a little bit of sleep some nights. I let him know how irresponsible that was, but he never really got the message. There were a few occasions that I found him passed out after taking too much. Very sorry to hear. I really hope you are not discouraged and continue in the tradition of opening up the doors for people to access their potential.
I personally have found benefits from my experimentation with nootropics that I struggled to receive from conventional means (which I by no means intend to substitute), although I typically stay away from the "harder" substances (stimulants, benzos), and have seen reductions in my histamine and fatigue issues, and improvements in sleep, memory, mood and stress management, which I feel wouldn't have happened without the products and information you provide here.
I hope you bounce back from this and don't let it hold you down too long because this place has proved a place of reprieve from the typical "nothing's wrong, just get more motivated" mentality that has proved an endless source of frustration for me and surely many others that have not yet stumbled upon nootropics. Instead, people here are genuinely curious in understanding how the brain works, and how things can be improved. People are interested in neurotransmitter levels, receptor densities, and brain structures instead of spouting the typical motivational and hard work rhetoric (not to say that those are unimportant, but they are not a panacea and the mentality of ignoring underlying physiological and neurochemical factors can be destructive). It is a space where we…

Thank you. We are certainly going to keep pushing forward with bringing out new nootropic compounds. We are just going to have an even more heightened sense of safety. I'm not going anywhere, so you don't have to worry about that.
