Unfortunately, I have some bad news. Jason (/u/Guacamolium), my business partner and co-founder of Ceretropic has died. He was found dead in his apartment on Friday afternoon. He had not come in for a few days, and was not answering his phone. I got a little worried, so /u/Synzael and I decided to go check on him. After he did not answer, we decided to get the police to come down. When they entered his apartment, they found him dead inside.
The toxicology screen will not be back for a few weeks. However, Jason had been having a few problems with Xanax and drinking. He was never one to be careful with his own safety, and would often have horrible insomnia. This led to him turning to Xanax and alcohol to try and get a little bit of sleep some nights. I let him know how irresponsible that was, but he never really got the message. There were a few occasions that I found him passed out after taking too much. I made him get into a substance abuse program, which he had been going to regularly. However, I never felt he was taking it seriously enough. I had hoped that he had things under control, but always feared that something would happen. I just figured it would be him getting in trou…

I am very sad to hear this. My condolences. But to me it sounds like you really did what you could to help him - in the end we are all responsible for ourselves.
He will be missed, and while I din't know him personally, he sounded like a really nice guy, and was allways helpful in regards to answering our questions.
This should remind us all to be very carefull in regards to our health.
I hope he rests in peace.

Thank you. I know there is always the feeling that one could have done more, and I certainly could have. However, I never expected it to come to this. He was a nice guy, and will certainly be missed.
