Effectively use of caffeine
Original post in this thread

Hi everyone,
Just some background. I used to be the average student living on coffee, whether it be to study, work, or workout. I want to say I was taking in about 400-700mg of caffeine a day. During summer I decided to quit and clean up my sleep hygiene. I get about 8-9 hours of sleep a night, and have gone through the initial caffeine withdrawal stages for about a month or so. I have gotten back a fair bit amount of energy, but it feels like I am missing that edge coffee gives me when it comes to focus and mental endurance. Does anyone have advice on how to healthily reintroduce caffeine back into my life? Or any arguments against starting up again?
Thanks,
B

I will look into setting up an appointment with a sleep clinic to see if sleep apnea could be a possibility. However, I've been supplementing 5000IU of vitamin D3 along with the recommended dosages of vitamin B13 for the last 6 months. So I don't know if that's the problem. Maybe I should be more consistent with sleep? I usually get the prescribed amount of hours but 3/7 days I will sleep at 12 rather than 10pm.

Consistent sleep is always good. However, I doubt those couple days of less sleep are causing consistent fatigue for you. I would bet it is something else, like sleep apnea or a methylation problem.
