If tianeptine is so great, why didn't the company who originally manufactured the drug patent it? They're focusing on newer drugs in its class and not focusing as much on tianeptine.

Sorry, my estimate was based off aqueous solutions, not propylene glycol. That will result in more drops per ml.
Use the picture I sent as a guide for where the halfway mark is on the dropper. The picture you sent looks like to be pretty close to half a dropper. I just tested it with my tianeptine bottle, and got exactly 20 drops per half dropper. On my memantine bottle, which is 60/40 water/PG, I got 15 drops per half. A fully water based solution should be closer to 10 drops. The viscosity of the liquid is going to change the drops.
To sum up, our tianeptine should be 20 drops per half dropper.
