If tianeptine is so great, why didn't the company who originally manufactured the drug patent it? They're focusing on newer drugs in its class and not focusing as much on tianeptine.

No, it is stable under normal conditions. There is no need to keep it in the fridge. Also, since ours is in solution, you do not need to worry about humidity like the powder.
