Sure, it's possible. The same way breweries culture their own yeasts to maintain consistency across batches.

It's $188 for non-profit use, or I would use it in my next batch of beer as a test. Since it is just brewers yeast with a single genetic knockout, I assume it would react similarly in wort as a normal strain. If it was

Just do a yeast starter with some DME malt like homebrewers do. Then use a conical fermenter so that you can harvest off the yeast for the next batch. Of course I am biased being a homebrewer.

Nice! Yours would definitely be healthier. Mine would be more fun! I'm actually making a cream ale with Australian Galaxy hops in a couple weeks. It would be a cool test to use this strain.
