Now I'm curious...
1. Could a home-brewer of beer could easily obtain some of the yeast?
2. If so, would the resulting beer be healthy to drink?
3. How would it taste?

It's $188 for non-profit use, or I would use it in my next batch of beer as a test. Since it is just brewers yeast with a single genetic knockout, I assume it would react similarly in wort as a normal strain.
If it was cheaper, I would definitely give it a shot.
