Nootropics for OCD - any experiences?

Is anyone here using nootropics to treat or alleviate symptoms of OCD?

Care to share what worked for you and what did not? Please also state the severity and type of OCD you have.

Ahh, I'm really sorry (I have flu at the moment and taken the day off so I'm not with it!) I saw the last line about serotonin playing a role in symptoms and thought you meant causing the symptoms not helping them. Makes sense now as I was a bit confused when I read that.

I should have said that the serotonin system plays a role in the symptoms. It seems raising extracellular serotonin alleviates symptoms, whereas lowering extracellular serotonin exacerbates them.
