Is anyone here using nootropics to treat or alleviate symptoms of OCD?
Care to share what worked for you and what did not? Please also state the severity and type of OCD you have.

Yeah, case studies have extremely limited value in determining a treatment though, they're more for 1 in a million things. So don't be scared into not trying an SSRI (all of which by the way are slightly different, normally I think citalopram and others are used but I might have rememebred that wrong). Any study about medicine is pretty useless on it's own to determine whether it should be prescribed, even one with a 100 times the amount of patients as that. Meta-analyses are what you need to judge and they are all in favour of SSRIs for OCD. But good luck with your problem, hope it works out soon.

Tianeptine is an SSRE. It's the opposite of an SSRI. So the adverse reaction with tianeptine was evidence FOR the possibility of SSRIs being effective, not against it.
