That is in vitro. Also, most studies show it can protect from methamphetamine-induced nuerotoxicity. That does not mean it is neuroprotective on its own. Methylphenidate can be neurotoxic, for sure. http://www.plosone.

Ohh sure, it is a great natural antidepressant. I just wouldn't consider it a nootropic, as it is not really leading to enhanced cognition or memory.

Kratom has so much more than opioids in it. There are immunomodulators, vasodilators, NMDA antagonists, adrenergic agonists, etc. It's a very interesting plant.

For you and me, yes. However, I speak to a lot of people that get anxious and jittery on stimulants, but get calm and focused on GABAergics. Nothing is absolute when dealing with brain chemistry.
