Is modafinil tolerance reversible?

I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with modafinil Torrance. Can it ever go back to the level that it was when you first took it, and if so, how long does it take?

I have only recently just started taking it, but I'm afraid I may have permenantly damaged my tolerance by binging on 800mg.

I did it because I thought it would feel good :(
I don't think I would've caused permanent damage though, because I read somewhere that someone tried to commit suicide on 5000mg and there weren't any apparent problems.
