I've flown hundreds of times, and I've yet to experience an airline losing my luggage or misplacing it. Is this a relatively common occurrence?

I've flown over 2 million miles, to every continent except Antarctica, and I've never had my bag lost. I had it delayed for a few days one by British airways, but never lost. I've flown, continental, United, air tran, northwest, southwest, America west, delta, American, air Canada, Lufthansa, Singapore air, Hawaiian, British airways, Qantas, Japan air, allegiant, lot polish, Czech airlines, Egypt air, south African air, Alaskan, frontier, jet star, aero Mexico, and probably more I can't remember. Never has my bag been lost. I must be the luckiest person on earth!
