You never have Muslims like this in the mainstream media.
What they were answering

I was of course speaking about motive. When you ask where the line should be drawn, my immediate reaction is to think about where it ought to be drawn for an individual. You want to eat a steak? Have at it. I see no reason whatsoever to deny yourself pleasure because another would call it a sin. You want to produce intelligent satire about Islam? I mean sure, go for it, just be aware of the (unearned) consequences. You want to make a crude, amateurish "film," the whole purpose of which is to make others angry? Now you're just being a dick. I recognize it's not cut-and-dry but I feel like there's some pretty obvious landmarks before you go catapulting over the line.

As do I. However, I also realize that those landmarks are completely within my subjective definition, which is constantly changing. Having traveled the world, I have had many realizations that my line of thought might be totally different than others. The only thing that I have determined will allow us to move forward as a species is acceptance. That includes acceptance that some people are idiots and will do offensive things. If I let things go, then it ends there. If I get offended and push back, it continues indefinitely. The burden is on each of us, because life has way more for you to deal with than other people's opinions.
