Earth’s richest 1,000 individuals now control as much wealth as the poorest 2.5 billion people on the planet. This super elite uses its vast wealth to control the media, influence politicians, and bend laws to their favor.

Interesting demographic change for the RSA ghettos... they used to be the realm of the black Africans... now you see an increasing number of white Africans living there too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj84Sw1x2po NOTE... I'm making no comment on the content of the video.. just linking it as an example
If you want to see severe poverty in the US... head to Florida. That place is shocking (in some areas).

I've been all over Florida, but I've never really seen that bad. What areas are you referring to? Egypt and India are really the ones where you will see some bad areas. Mexico has some really bad areas as well.
The areas in the video you linked are not as bad as the ones I was referring to. I saw much much worse conditions in other camps. The shacks were made out of plywood and cardboard. It's been a few years since I have been there, so maybe they have cleaned them up a bit.
