KSM-66 and Sensoril Ashwagandha brands are extremely dishonest.
Replying to hootenanny03 · I am looking at their confidential testing monograph. I am not being hyperbolic when I say the entire thing is a mockery of GLP. On the page to calculate % oligosaccharides is say…
Yes, please send me what you have. I have seen some of their back end data before, and I agree it is garbage. When I pressed them further, they said they had more data proving their correction factors. However, they would not share that with me. Admittedly I kind of dropped it, b…

I find S-acetyl L-glutathione to be very gentle on the stomach. Much more so than NAC and reduced glutathione. Those are more acidic.

Replying to Megatron_McLargeHuge · > Rather than just dropping products that people like, we decided to just sell them without withanolide claims. The problem with this is when you sell a product, you're implicitly…
That's true. However, my issue with the scientific validity of their withanolide claims, and whether or not I think they are good products, are different things. Both KSM-66 and Sensoril have effects that many people like. We did blinded testing at our offices, and it was really…

Replying to hootenanny03 · You are obviously have a great deal of knowledge on this topic and I am not accusing you or your organization of foul play. You are selling Ashwagandha extract which is true and no…
If you read the posts I linked above, it's not that simple. The USP monograph for withanolides only looks at 8. There are hundreds of withanolides, though. There are 40 in ashwagandha alone. Yes, if you go by the USP monograph, neither KSM-66 nor Sensoril has what the patent hold…
KSM-66 and Sensoril Ashwagandha brands are extremely dishonest.
Replying to hootenanny03 · Yeah they are doing some Elizabeth Holmes level lying.
We are not lying. See my comment above. We discovered this years ago, and have been the only ones pushing Natreon and Ixoreal about it. It's just we are under NDAs and TMLAs, so some of the stuff I can't publicly disclose.

Replying to EscapeVelocity83 · Sensorial says patented to specific 3 compounds
It *is* patented to them. These are patented products that we are under TMLAs (trademark licensing agreements) for. Ixoreal and Natreon do regulate what we can say about them. However, we felt it was prudent to remove the withanolide claim years ago, due to them being unwilling t…
KSM-66 and Sensoril Ashwagandha brands are extremely dishonest.
Replying to Megatron_McLargeHuge · NootropicsDepot sells both and supposedly has the most reliable lab testing of any consumer vendor. Have you looked at their versions?
We removed the withanolide claims years ago from those two products, because we found this out in our lab testing. Both Natreon and Ixoreal were not happy with us about it, but we called them out multiple times at Supply Side West about the data being shit. I even sat down with A…

You should ask yourself why there were only two products in the cocoa supplement group: one from Mars Candy that is specifically meant for flavanols, and ours that isn't... That's ConsumerLab's idea of a comprehensive test?!? Pick two supplements, and only test for the standardiz…

The flavanols in cocoa are mainly (-)–epicatechin, (+)–catechin, EGCG, and procyanidins B1 and B2. Then there are flavonols like luteolin, orientin, isoorientin, apigenin, vitexin, ixovitexin, naringenin, prunin, hesperidin, and quercetin in some cocoas, too. We sell (-)–epicatec…

Replying to Mojowhale · thank you for your answer! appreciated
No problem! Why ConsumerLab decided to test our product for something it is not even standardized to, then not test everyone else for the stuff we are standardized to, is beyond me. Why not test everyone for theobromine and show ours is the highest? Why don't they ever test our o…
Consumerlab report on Chocamine

Yeah, likely so. Maybe theophylline as well. Would be cool to do our own mixture of theobromine, theophylline, caffeine, methylliberine, and theacrine.
Consumerlab report on Chocamine
Replying to hintonmj · Well, this is disappointing to hear. I recently made my second order for the larger size. Started getting it for the theobromine.
It's good for that. /u/Pretty-Chill actually likes it. It's just many people want the other stuff in cacao. We are going to do a raw cacao standardized to fatty acid amides at some point. I think that mixed with our maca would be a really nice endocannabinoid effect. Chocamine is…

Chocamine is not standardized to flavanols... It's standardized to theobromine. We don't test for flavanols, since it is not part of the standardization. I can see if our lab can run a flavanol assay to see what we get, but that's not the point of the extract. Chocamine is a pate…

Replying to AurisAsas · Are nootropics lost cause for chronic non-responders? Is there hope for them?
Since we don't fully understand what makes someone a non-responder, I don't think we can answer that. Still, just because someone doesn't consciously notice something doesn't mean it isn't still working in the background. All this talk of placebo responders/non-responders is gene…

L-carnitine tartrate is just a salt of carnitine and tartaric acid. It will dissociate in solution in the GI tract, so it will act similarly to regular L-carnitine once it hits the large intestine.

TMAO is created by gut bacteria metabolizing things like carnitine and choline in the large intestine. The issue with taking normal L-carnitine is that only 14-18% gets absorbed through passive transport, with the rest being broken down by the gut microbiome. That's where the TMA…
