Curious on y'alls thoughts on this. I spoke to a ayurveda person (ayurveda is where Ashwagandha and Bacopa come from) and he was like for thousands of years we put the herbs into food and ate it long-term and not made extracts out of it. Should we have skepticism over extracts with this logic maybe?
Replying to DoctorBoneMarrow · Whoa, thanks! I was familiar with those supplements but not with many of the specific mechanisms you mentioned. Thanks for the info, it's truly interesting. Looking at a bit more …
L-BAIBA does seem interesting! We brought that out a while back, but it hasn't really gotten very popular. This could be a cool mechanism to highlight. It does activate astrocytes, but doesn't antagonize dopamine. It supports mitochondrial function and activates AMPK, while reduc…

Replying to DoctorBoneMarrow · Thank you! >Vitamin D is deficient in a lot of people, and it affects dopaminergic signaling, so that would be an easy one to add in And deficiency is linked with more severe sym…
That risperidone study is actually pretty compelling for showing astrocyte metabolism matters in the basal ganglia. If I were targeting hypoactive astrocytes specifically, here's what I'd try: * Lion's Mane- The hericenones and erinacines directly stimulate NGF synthesis from ast…
ReDaxin exercise study
Replying to Chargers95 · Have you guys tested what the leteolinidin content is per Redaxin capsule?
We'd have to get the luteolinidin reference standard, and see if we could build out some UPLC methods to separate the peak from each other. We might at some point, when we have some time in the lab. I can ask Red Leaf if they have tested for it.

Replying to salamanta · Has anyone from the beta testers experienced thermogenisis effects from Redaxin?
Not as strongly as C3G or Black Ginger. However, luteolin has been shown to activate brown fat and be thermogenic, and luteolinidin is high in Redaxin. https://www.nature.com/articles/ijo2016108.pdf

Replying to abriones17 · What are the main differences between Redaxin and CG3 and also something like a Blueberry extract capsule?
To get the amount of C3G in one dose of our capsules, you would need to eat 40lbs of fresh blueberries. No joke. We did the calculation. Our C3G from black rice is the most potent on the market, and delivers much more than you can reasonably get from blueberries. The Redaxin diff…

Replying to eamonn123 · Do you think it would have antihistamine effects due to the Luteolinidin content?
Luteolin does, so luteolinidin could as well. I always take Zyrtec, so I didn't notice it. I will have to beta test it again and skip my Zyrtec to see if it inhibits my histamine.

Replying to Nebulous_Inferno · Sounds great, I just wish it had a known unique effect that nothing else has shown (I'm a sucker for unique benefits, like dihydromyricetin and aldehydes).
They said they are running more research on it, so hopefully we have more data soon. The apigeninidin does seem to have some cool mechanisms for cancer. [Apigeninidin induces apoptosis through activation of Bak and Bax and subsequent mediation of mitochondrial damage in human pro…

The flavanols in cocoa are mainly (-)–epicatechin, (+)–catechin, EGCG, and procyanidins B1 and B2. Then there are flavonols like luteolin, orientin, isoorientin, apigenin, vitexin, ixovitexin, naringenin, prunin, hesperidin, and quercetin in some cocoas, too. We sell (-)–epicatec…

We are working on luteolin, and ways to improve its bioavailability. We have not settled on a strategy yet, but encapsulation using different things could be one of them. OEA is one we have been working on, but have not released because of lab testing limitations. The existing me…

Polygala Tenuifolia Update After Three and a Half Weeks

Nyles7 has never done 3rd party testing, and just gives people the supplier COAs. It's been talked about a few times on here. Another moderator also asked him for COAs, and all he eventually gave were supplier COAs. He seems to be content just reselling product imported from Chin…
