Why not capules all the time

Products like kava and cistanche are not encapsulated and have a rough texture which makes them difficult to swallow.
It seems like they're made this way to be chewed, but they don't taste good and stick to teeth.

I wish you would at least coat the tablets then, especially the tart cherry tablets.
I just realized the only ND products I ever wanted to half dose were in capsules (e.g. C3G) and all my tablet products from ND I never felt the need to half dose lol

Tablet coating is a pain in the ass! It's one of the most complex processes, because of the machinery used, and the safety concerns. Because the process uses sprayers in a big mixer agitating the tablets, and hot air to dry it, you have to have massive particle filtration systems and dust collectors in your facility. If you don't do it right, it can cause explosions. That actually happened at a facility down the street from us that was doing some manufacturing for us. They had a compressor fail, causing a compressed air explosion that set off a chain reaction in their dust collection equipment, which completely destroyed their entire facility. Doing tablet coating is just much more complex than most people realize. We went down that rabbit hole for a bit, and were preparing to set it up at our facility, then that explosion happened and made us rethink things. We currently use a company in New York to do our enteric coatings for us, but the cost has risen too much to make it workable for other products. There is another local company that we might use for normal coatings, but we have to work through the numbers with them to see if it makes sense.
