Why not capules all the time

Products like kava and cistanche are not encapsulated and have a rough texture which makes them difficult to swallow.
It seems like they're made this way to be chewed, but they don't taste good and stick to teeth.

A while back you said the team might consider doing acid-resistant capsules for epicatechin - any possible update on if that will happen?

It doesn't really make sense. We'd have to go full enteric to improve the pharmacokinetics, but the cost there is too much at the moment. We also have a ton of our existing tablets to sell through before we need to do another run.
