Been a year or so since I last ordered from ND and these days it feels like everything is taking longer than usual to arrive, so was just wondering what kind of delivery times people have experienced
What they were answering

Oh wow, well thanks for your efforts and the heads up! That sounds really bad. If they'll inspect everything, probably a lot of the products won't make it through because of them being 'novel foods' and needing a safety assessment. Most extracts don't have that and can still receive an unsafe designation if they do, like Cistanche: https://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/efsajournal/pub/6346
Guess I now know what I'm gonna spend the majority of my paycheck on when I'll receive it tomorrow... summer sale spending comes early this year lol

Well the thing is, if we do DDP and pay duties on behalf of the customers, they won't have to inspect at all. They will just let it through because everything is paid. These extra inspections are almost solely to assess duties, so having it DDP prevents that. That is another benefit to the DDP solution. Part of this whole thing is also harmonizing HTS codes. That's another part of this project that is taking forever. Every item will need to have an HTS code going forward. This is supposed to smooth out the process. However, they are telling us that packages without valid HTS codes for every item will start getting turned away soon, so we need to finalize that. Of course this is all speculation based on what people are telling us. We will only know once everything is fully live and in place.
