It sounds like you're already working/thinking about it, but I think a detailed guide on the whole process of testing and interpreting results would be so good for the industry. Consumers and people looking to get into the industry can use that to set expectations and help prevent bad products from being sold. Maybe a simplified guide for consumers would be good.

I'd love a breakdown on how things should be done, why, how things are commonly done incorrectly, etc. If you have any existing reference literature at a technician level, that would be amazing to see too. But I have a feeling you're uniquely positioned to produce that kind of literature!

Not to be too argumentative, but why is it my job to teach every vendor in this industry what they should have been doing this whole time? I've had to build our processes and procedures over a decade, and spend lots of money on lawyers and research. I just had a two hour long call with our legal team yesterday, in fact. I can't even quantify the amount of time and money I have spent over the years building a company with proper procedures, learning the science, learning what methodologies and methods do and do not tell you, learning what steps are needed for lab testing and quality control. That's my job as a business owner! It's my job to build my company in such a way to ensure we are selling what we claim. I don't even stop there. I had to sue an equipment manufacturer because one of the pieces of lab equipment didn't perform at the level they advertised, and I had to pay for a whole set of validated research to be conducted to prove that. So I am even validating the claims from the big lab equipment manufacturers to ensure their machines are actually telling us what they think they are, then suing them if they don't perform as stated! Now after all that, I am expected to help all these random companies that have been throwing caution to the wind, and selling products that don't contain what they claim to? After screaming for years that things are bad, and that this industry is a fraud... now that I have a bit of traction getting people to see that too... I have to then be the one that everyone turns to to help turn their companies around?

Forgive me for my tone, because I am not upset at you. I am just upset at this whole situation! We do things the right way for a decade. We take the time and effort to learn how to do things right. We spend the money to prove what we are doing is accomplishing what we think it is. Then all these random companies don't do any of that, sell products to consumers that are not as they claim, make all this money off people, then turn to me to fix their problems when they get caught, and it WAS ME THAT HAD TO CATCH THEM!!! Can you see how insane this situation is to me? I just want companies to do what they are legally required to do, and take lab testing and quality control seriously. I want consumers to stop being defrauded by brands, and being sold things that are not as they claim. I want people to value the effort we have put into things, and to not be unfairly competed against by these companies cutting corners and not doing things properly.

So again, sorry for the rant. I am just very frustrated. I built all this up from nothing, and I did it without having to lie to people and cut corners. I have funded our lab and ability to even do this research from product sales. We've had to fight tooth and nail to even get where we are now, and we have lost sales to countless other companies essentially defrauding their customers and unfairly competing against us. We have been attacked, and had our reputations and motivations called into question. Our competitors have pulled every shady tactic in the book to mess with our accounts, to get our products pulled from Amazon, to get our ads pulled, and try to put us out of business. I have had death threats send to myself, my family, and my employees. We've had people report us to the card brands and get our credit card processing and bank accounts dropped. I've sat in more bank lobbies than you can possibly imagine. Competitors have reported us to the FDA, FBI, FTC, and even the DEA in an attempt to fuck with us. I've had to fight not just all the retail brands in this industry, but the labs and the lab equipment manufacturers. Every single month for ten years has been some sort of new battle. We've been fighting to try to change this industry every day since I started; fighting literally everyone. Now that there is some traction with our message, and now that I have some eyes and ears actually listening to what I have to say, it's me that has to come in and teach all these companies how to do things right? Where is the accountability for everyone else in this industry? Where are the good people taking responsibility for their actions and working to change their ways for the right reasons? Again, please don't take my frustration here as an indication I am upset at you specifically. I just needed to vent that a little bit. I want this industry to change, and I will keep doing my part to help affect that change. It just can't always just be me.

That's about what I expected. These are just internal COAs. To start, analyzing nitrogen content is not an appropriate methodology for amino acid assay. This is the same shit China got away with on infant formula and spi

Just how bad is this industry?

Absolutely none? Probably zero from bigger brands. 50% off? Truthfully, I have not gone out and tested basic vitamins from brands. We have stuck to mostly botanicals and other small molecule organics. My assumption is th
