You know that feeling of going on vacation as a kid—like waking up and driving to some amusement park, just like bursting with anticipation the whole car ride? That was me waiting for this post, lol.
What an absolutely tremendously written piece. I don’t think it can be expressed enough just how much gratitude we have to you and your team for making this information accessible in an industry bogged down with so much fraud.
Honestly, and this is a bit of a random thought, but I would really love to see you guys collaborate with Greg Nuckols and the team at StrongerbyScience. They’ve co-authored studies in the exercise science field, as well as efficacy of fitness supplements. I believe Greg even made the claim that they did research on ecdysterone; however, it was industry funded, and the company never released the results because efficacy was poor. Well, gee—looking at all the fake shit in this industry, it’s no wonder.
But their whole philosophy is to be objective and operate evidence-based, and I feel that aligns with ND’s vision as a company (at least from how I perceive you guys). Plus, I think one of the big issues with this industry (and this could be said about healthcare, too) is that everyone operate…

I am up for any collaborations that can help make this industry better. The issue is nobody ever takes me up on it. People see me as the enemy. I am rocking the boat, and opening consumers' eyes to the reality of how shitty this industry is just hurts profits. Like I get it. These are inconvenient truths that really do suck to have to face sometimes. It makes it much more difficult and costly. However, accuracy matters. Precision matters. The validity of the science used to prove supplements are what they claim to be matters! It's much more profitable to not look under all the rocks to see what you might find, though. Rocking the boat doesn't make friends. It makes enemies most of the time. That's really not what I want, though! I don't want enemies. I would prefer to make friends and partners, and help each other to make the industry better. I am just often not met from the other side on that mission.
The exception to this has been in the lab industry side. We have a bunch of other labs we have partnered with to help move the science forward. We send them things we can't figure out, or don't have the equipment for, and they help us try to solve it. Then they send us things they need help figuring out. It's nice to have that cooperative back and forth. We also have a partnership with a raw material supplier in Australia that has a really good lab and R&D department. Their ethos is just like ours, and they are trying to battle all the BS in the market, too. We have partnered with them on some of our products we already have out, and we have been working with them on new patented products. We are sharing the cost and development, and then filing the patents together. Then with our partnership with their parent company, who are a large distributor, we will be able to distribute these new patented extracts all around the world. I love partnerships like that! We all help to move the science forward, and both parties share in the benefit. I really do want to make partners, not rivals.
