Are there benefits/detriments to taking ND's Berberine+Silymarin tablets before or after drinking alcohol?

I take ND's Berberine/Silmarin tablets in part to minimize liver damage from alcohol consumption. That said, I haven't been able to find anything regarding when they would best be ingested, and more specifically, whether consuming a tablet shortly prior to, while, or shortly after drinking alcohol would be beneficial or (more importantly) detrimental in any way.

Does anyone, including especially a member of the ND staff, have further information about this?

Softgels manufacturing a whole other pain in the ass we have not gone down yet. You can't really do small runs, either. You have to do millions of sofgels for the setup and cleanup to make sense economically. We are moving into gummies soon, though. Berberine gummies would be one of the most horrible things in existence, though. LOL
