Possible Magnesium Glycinate Withdrawal

Original post in this thread

TLDR: I've been taking Magnesium Glycinate for years and recently stopped to take a break and have felt like crap.

Two or three years ago (maybe longer) I started taking high quality (ND) Magnesium Glycinate every night. Recently I ran out and decided to take a 2-3 week break (for the first time ever). A few days after stopping, I had a very uneasy feeling throughout the day. It was like a weird form of Anxiety and I ended up getting a migraine headache. The following day I ended up getting another headache that was slightly less painful. I took some magnesium that evening and the next day I felt great. I didn't take any the following night and felt like crap again the today.

I was just sitting on my couch contemplating why I have been feeling bad this week and realized that it could be due to stopping the magnesium supplement. I say "could be" because I don't know for sure. However, stopping magnesium was the only major change that I have made.

I realize some people will most likely say it's not withdrawal and it's just the feeling of baseline. I can assure you that it's worse than baseline (although manageable).

What's the best way to supplement potassium? Usually potassium capsules are so underdosed. Do you think electrolyte replenishing drinks could be the answer?

Would you recommend an electrolyte stack so to speak, and, if so, what would it look like?

I think there is some legal reason for potassium tablets/capsules all being 99mg elemental. I am trying to figure out why they are all doing that, and a regulation seems to be the most likely scenario. Right now I am just taking multiple tablets/capsules a day with some Micromag. I do think an electrolyte blend is a good idea, and that has been on our list for a while. We have no finalized the stack, but we have started putting our thoughts down on paper. I am also still doing testing of my own to see what doses I react best to.
