I personally love the bottom right module FAQ style thing. In fact, two weeks ago when I first ordered, I read a few articles from there.
I just have a bad association from those "Susan ordered a \_\_\_\_\_ from Ohio 43 minutes ago" type pop-ups. They are commonly used on very deceptive websites.

I just spoke to my marketing director, and he says the social proof popups should only be showing if you arrive at the site from Google. They don't show up if you go direct to our site. He had to move them up because of the new customer support beacon and our accessibility options on the bottom now. Not ideal. They are more in your face now. I'll discuss with the team what we want to do.
I agree shit like that is annoying. What do I care that someone from Rochester NY bought tongkat ali?!? I don't give two shits. The issue is that a lot of people do. It's dumb, but it's true. This is especially true for new customers. They see that other people are buying, and feel better about trying a new company they have not used before. I said it was all stupid when we first started, but we polled a bunch of people and you would be surprised how many people buy shit because they saw a social proof popup. Some people in our office bought hats and shit because they saw a popup with someone else buying them. I said they were idiots, but I guess I am getting older and grumpier. I had someone from our office show me some Twitch streams the other day, and for the first time I realized that I was not young anymore. WTF is all that shit?!? I can't even go on Twitch and handle all that stuff happening. I guess someday I will be the old man yelling at clouds. I used to be with it, but then they change what "it" was.
