14 mega corporations that own your supplements

I came across this article today when I was researching independent and trusted supplement companies and thought I'd share this since some of you probably use these brands. Besides the NOW brand and NootropicsDepot, I really don't know of any legitimate independent supplement companies and once these brands get too big we all know the corner cutting that starts happening, especially when they get bought out by a big corporation.

makes sense, thanks for the well thought out response. I should've clarified when I said "aren't" -that translators to my shaky memories of essentially thorne reps saying that lol, not straight up evidence of that. I am interested to hear ab what the docs at Mayo have to say. how do you know them? that's pretty impressive!
my bad for not clarifying that though. you made great points there ^ i agree.
which other companies do you use out of curiosity? been looking for some others

There is a Mayo clinic here in Phoenix, and I have a bunch of friends in the medical field. A couple are up there are Mayo. I asked one earlier, and she had not heard of Thorne. She also said she doesn't really see dietary supplements being suggested over there. She said most docs are still skeptical, and many just assume they don't really work. That's pretty par for the course with most doctors. Some of the younger ones are more open to hearing about supplements, but the older ones usually think they are BS.
I pretty much exclusively use our supplements these days. However, I do buy some stuff from Thorne that we don't carry. I also use some NOW, Jarrow, and Life Extension. However, I have stopped for the most part after we have tested some of their stuff and had it fail for label claims. I have started to just not trust anyone/anything, unless I have personally tested it in the lab.
