Phosphatidylserine suggested use seems incorrect?

ND's Phosphatidylserine page seems to suggest using one softgel per day, but one softgel is merely 100mg while the dosing regimen used in the studies were 100mg 3x per day.

Also, on that note, it is one of the priciest supplements on the entire website if one intends to take 100mg 3x per day which is a shame since I'd like to try this supplement and would prefer to purchase from ND if possible. Might it be because it is a branded product?

We set our dosing recommendations based of our research, my personal reactions, my team's reactions, and customer reports to me over the years. Many time the "standard" recommendations are just wrong. We don't blindly do what everyone else is doing. It's why we have lower dose Alpha-GPC, because of the depressive side effects some people get with the "standard" higher doses. It's why we have multiple capsule dose options for some things, and ratios of others like caffeine/L-theanine. If our suggestions are different than others, it's for a reason. We specifically decided to do them that way. There's no reason you can't take more doses if you react better to them, but having a 3X per day regimen as the standard for phosphatidylserine doesn't make sense to me. 100mg per day is a good everyday dose for most people. You can go up to 300mg per day for a loading period, but you should probably drop down to 100mg after that. Most brands would love for you to take more doses per day so they can sell more bottles. However, if it doesn't make sense to us, we don't suggest it.
SmartPS is also not regular phosphatidylserine. It's a much more stable and bioavailable formulation. I could consider phosphatidylserine powder for people who want to dose higher, though. That would be more cost effective at higher doses. I can speak to the team about it.
