For the first time, a vertical farmed ginseng reproduces the effectiveness on the focus of wild ginseng in a double-blind clinical study. Its composition in rare ginsenosides (Rg5, Rg3, Rk1, Rh2, Rh4) is close to wild ginseng. The mind-boosting effect is felt from the first day.

The study and the data is not the issue. If they had posted a study published in a respected journal with a conflict of interest statement, there would be no issue. The actual process and analytical chemistry is interesting. It's not something that we should just write off altogether. However, the attempted deception in hiding conflicts of interest just raises more questions. The fact that it was posted in an open access journal that is considered to be predatory just raises more questions.

Yale also lists them as a suspicious journal.

If you want to read about predatory journals, Nature has a good article on it: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-019-03759-y

Posting studies published in predatory journals without conflict of interest statements, in a clearly conflicted situation, is not something that should be allowed. Is it illegal? Absolutely not. However, not everything is about legal/illegal. False and misleading data published in predatory journals is a big problem right now.
