What does this mean? It is dangerous to play with dosages? (Sorry, not native englisch speaker :) )

It's a massive frustration of mine with other brands. Sellers will unnecessarily spread doses over multiple capsules to increase capsule counts, to seem like a better value. This is to trick consumers into thinking they are getting more than they are. Tricks like this are becoming more and more common; especially on Amazon where it lists cost per count. It confuses consumers, and makes them buy products they think are giving them a better deal, but that are actually tricking them. Go look at many of the top products on Amazon. You'll see things like 500mg in the title and on the front of the label. However, you look at the Supplement Facts box and you have to take two 250mg capsules to get that. There is no reason to do that, other than trickery. You can fit 500mg in one capsule. It actually makes the cost per dose cheaper, as you don't have to pay for two capsule shells and the extra machine time to run it. However, consumers generally pick the product that seems to be the best deal. Products that say 500mg and 60 capsules will sell more, even if it turns out that those 60 capsules are 250mg each, and you have to take two. We are not interested in tricking consumers into buying from us once, then moving on to the next potential consumer like many of the other brands. We want to build lifetime customers that trust us because we show a pattern of openness and honesty in the way we do things. Calling attention to these pricing games other brands play is our way of trying to bring attention to this issue.
Another thing many brands are doing now is using the extraction ratios to alter how much they claim is in a product. Let's say you are using 80mg of a 20:1 extract. These shitty brands are telling consumers there is 1,600mg! The real shitty ones like Horbäach do both!!! Look at this shit.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HZ529T5
You would think that was 120 capsules at 1,600mg, right? NOPE! The capsules are only giving you 80mg, and they say 1,600mg because they claim it is a 20:1 extract. Moreover, you have to TAKE TWO CAPSULES to even get the 80mg!!! Not only is this morally wrong, it's illegal. So instead of getting 120 doses of 1,600mg like you think you are, you are getting 60 doses of 80mg. Totally fucking nuts that Amazon allows this! Let's look at another.
https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Longjack-Tongkat-Root-Extract/dp/B08MD676SG
Every single product in there says "equivalent to" on it. Most of the ratios are bullshit anyway, but you can't verify them even if they weren't. You could say 200:1 on it. Does that mean your 50mg dose is equivalent to 10 grams of plant? Hell no! It's all a massive fraud to trick consumers. Here is another one.
https://www.amazon.com/Futurebiotics-Ashwagandha-Capsules-Strength-Serving/dp/B09KHK2FPF
That's one of the best selling ashwagandhas on Amazon. It's 120 doses of 3,000mg, right? NOPE! It's 60 doses of 150mg. They claim it is a 20:1, but I know that is bullshit, too. They are just using that strategy to trick people. It violates FTC guidelines, but nobody seems to care. Amazon sure doesn't. Keep in mind there is no way to report fake and mislabeled products to amazon as a third party. These are some of the best sellers in their categories. Don't even get me started on the totally fake "liposomal" products on there. You will find the sketchiest shit on Amazon. This doesn't even go into the fact that many of these companies promise free bottles for reviews. They create positive review groups which they can rely on to give them five stars. When you add in other review programs/incentivized/paid reviews, that's how they rank at the top; which lead to customers not being able to trust their products. Almost all top sellers in supplement take advantage of customers trust by employing these tactics. That's before we even get to properly lab testing their materials, which is a whole other sketchy can of worms.
So we are trying to do a better job of pointing these anti consumer tactics out to people. Many people are just not aware of all this stuff, and they continue to buy whatever seems the most cost effective. Then you have the lack of quality control and lab testing that we have been pointing out for almost ten years. Of course many brands are just starting to lie. Some of our direct competitors are using some of the same wording we are on lab testing and quality control, but they are just lying through their teeth on it all. Some are even calling themselves "industry leaders in lab testing," even though we know they are doing none. It's so stupid! It's going to be a constantly shifting thing we will have to address. This industry is full of the scummiest pieces of shit I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It would be one thing if everyone wasn't putting this stuff into their bodies, but people's health is literally on the line. It's not like getting counterfeit sandals. These are health products that people are ingesting. The amount of scumminess and fraud in supplements is just appalling.
