Lion's Mane Mushroom (1:1 extract) or 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone

I've picked up both supplements for the reported cognitive effects. However, before starting with one of them I'm curious as to which one everyone has better effects with for that, and for reducing anxious feelings and increasing mood (as that will be the one I'll likely try solo first...before later maybe trying the combination).

Any receptor regulation concerns?

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb · ND Owner

You mean from down-regulation? Not at reasonable doses. Also, polygala up-regulates TrkB receptors. So combos with polygala are a good way to regulate that. That being said, high levels of any ligand can lead to down-regulation of its receptor. So it is more about dose/concentration than anything. We are only releasing 4-DMA-7,8-DHF in reasonable dose capsules.

What mood boosters ACTUALLY work out there?

It's going to depend on the person. What works best for one person might do nothing for you, or have side effects. We like to talk in generalities, but people's brain chemistries vary a lot more than most realize. So fin

7, 8-Dihydroxyflavone WTF

Replying to Due_Following_4742 · I saw another commenter mention a correlation between BDNF and brain cancer, is this something to take seriously? I’ve cycled 7,8 dhf, polygala, Lions Mane at recommended doses.

BDNF is a growth factor, so it being correlated with cancer makes sense. That doesn't mean it is a causative factor. Cancer is out of control growth of mutated cells. They are still cells, though. So things that help the
