Why are we using Immunomodulating and Immunostimulatory nootropics/compounds to try to Prevent COVID when it’s commonly known that most of the Damage is caused by Our Immune Response?

Where are you getting your information that reishi, and chaga increase IL-6? It's wrong information. It's actually the opposite.
Suppression of the inflammatory response by triterpenes isolated from the mushroom Ganoderma lucidum
The polysaccharide from Inonotus obliquus protects mice from Toxoplasma gondii-induced liver injury
PSP, or polysaccharide peptide, from turkey tail can increase IL-6. However, this was with high doses of pure PSP injected directly into rats, and it increased it in the blood. Serum IL-6 is not the issue with COVID. IL-6 in the lungs is.
Plus, you are ignoring all the other parts of Immune Defense that reduce inflammation. Our Immune Defense absolutely lowers inflammation, and anyone that has taken it can attest to that. Moreover, nobody is telling anyone to take Immune Defense for COVID-19, they least of all me. Not only is that a regulatory nightmare, but it is irresponsible till we have a better idea of the full pathology of the disease. I am personally taking Immune Defense every day, but that's about all I can say about that. I am also taking other things as well, but again I am limited in what I can say and explain about those. They are EGCG, quercetin, hesperidin, and andrographis.
