Why are we using Immunomodulating and Immunostimulatory nootropics/compounds to try to Prevent COVID when it’s commonly known that most of the Damage is caused by Our Immune Response?

What they were answering

I think I catch your drift. To be honest I was hoping someone more qualified on this kind of stuff would comment and tell me I’m wrong because I’m not specifically against taking nootropics for COVID, I was just wary of the risks and the unknowns of doing so, simply because of the immune system’s response to the virus having been implicated as the primary cause of the damage wreaked by COVID.

I definitely agree with you on that we can’t just wait and do nothing until there’s a vaccine- which could have risks of its own. I just wish I knew which nootropics are going to stimulate my immune system in a good way to fight off/prevent the virus and which ones are going to stimulate it in the wrong way and increase inflammation. I know there’s some information out there, but there’s not much and when there is you usually have to dig really deep to find it.

Immune Defense (more assuredly now) and Nigella Sativa are the only two I know of that could possibly help in the context of COVID safely. Cordyceps as well. It does suck though that due to the FDA guidelines you’re limited in what questions you can answer and what you can say, because something tells me you know a lot more about this than a lot of these scientists that just want to shove a vaccine down your ass and tell you that’s all you need. What exactly is your job title, BTW? I’ve always been curious. Product development scientist?

I created the company, so I create all the titles. LOL. Technically I am president and CEO, but I am involved in almost all aspects of the company. My product specialist is actually /u/Pretty-Chill. I have over a dozen scientists working for me now, all in different roles. Often time they shift between R&D, production, and QC depending on the task. It's often better if you have interplay between those departments, as the R&D needs to lead to real-world things that make sense from a production and QC standpoint as well. If you have them too separate, it can lead to situations that don't really make sense.

Long-term review of Erinamax?

Yes, we have a lot in the works. This includes improved/different versions of the mushrooms we already carry, like cordyceps, and some new species of mushrooms that nobody is really talking about. 2023 will be a very goo

Cordyceps 10:1 vs 1:1

Replying to Chaloobies · u/MisterYouAreSoDumb u/Pretty-Chill u/NootropicsDepotGuru

1:1 is a whole cordyceps fruiting body powder that has been put through a hot water "extraction" to break down the chitin, but not lose any mushroom material. The 10:1 is a traditional solvent extraction, where 10 grams

My cordyceps congealed! Any way to rescue it? I haven’t gotten any water in it, I changed out the desiccant packets, but now it’s become a gooey lump. My Red Reishi purchased in the same order is still a powder, stored in the same conditions. What’s going on?

Holy crap! Water got in there somehow. Where was it stored?
