Why are we using Immunomodulating and Immunostimulatory nootropics/compounds to try to Prevent COVID when it’s commonly known that most of the Damage is caused by Our Immune Response?

I’ve even recommended different noots in this context and been told I was in the wrong because “for all you know you could be telling someone to take something that’s going to make their symptoms even worse” and then lectured about the same thing I wrote about in this post.
Sure, but then to what end do those people want to take it? Just do nothing till we have absolute conclusive evidence on the complete pathology? It's a reductive argument that gets us nowhere. Nobody in the US is going to study natural things as therapeutics for COVID, because they can't patent and make money off them. So we do what, take absolutely nothing till there is a vaccine? We don't know everything, so we should do nothing?
I also have to be really careful about what I say about it, so I can't answer a lot of these things directly. If I am personally taking it right now, you can be damn sure I am confident in it, though. We have had customers that actually got COVID-19 and took Immune Defense afterwards. I can't discuss or promote anything to do with that, but they have relayed their stories to me about it. If I did all the research and heard all the direct stories, and I am still taking it, you can infer as to the nature of the results. Again, I am not and will never suggest anyone take any of our products for COVID-19. I just can't.
