Curious question: Agmatine dose per capsule is low. Is there a reason?

This is just a curious question. Most brands out there that sell “agmatine” commonly sell 500mg capsules, while ND sells 250mg capsules. Are nootropic benefits found at this low of a dose? I just hear from many users that it may take up to 1-2g of agmatine to reach some sort of therapeutic effect. So I was wondering why the capsules are in the lower side.

I actually personally take the powder, as long as it's something that I can stomach since it saves money I feel it's the better way to go. Tongkat is the one thing that I will never be able to do just straight powder hahaha

Tongkat and berberine are just too vile to use as powders.
