There are some really cool plants out there that we just don't hype up much in the west. Natural extracts are always treated as bullshit over here, and you get called a rube by people who automatically assume everything is snake oil (which actually has some benefits, ironically enough! LOL). Even just suggesting a natural route to an issue gets people's eyes rolling here in the US. We have been conditioned to see synthetic pharmaceuticals as the only potentially effective thing for so long. It's kind of crazy when you start to realize how much of a lie you have lived your whole life. You can see that even that study I linked above only happened because of a Fulbright award. There is no money in studying plants here in the US, so you have to wait for nonprofit funded university researchers to even take something on. This leads to a ever widening gap, because people who criticize medicinal plants as bullshit point to a lack of US-based studies on them. However, that is more due to an economic reason, rather than scientific. You show them a Chinese, Japanese, or Indian study, and they just say: "Pffft, show me an American study on it." Yet they don't have a fucking clue about any of it, or how studies are funded here in the US. Anyway, I am rambling. There are some really fucking cool plants out there, and bringing out potent and standardized versions of them is very exciting for me! This is a really cool plant!
