Related question: since it's a whole extract standardized to anthocyanins, would it also have a nice amount of (unquantified) related compounds like anthocyanidins, proanthocyanidins, etc?
(Fun bit of info for anybody reading this: anthocyanins are quite potent antimicrobials against foodborne pathogens.

Anthocyanidins are just the aglycones of the anthocyanins. Think of salidroside and tyrosol. They are the same thing, just one having a glucose molecule attached to it. Cyanidin is the core structure that makes up the anthocyanins in tart cherry. Cyanidin 3-glucoside is just cyanidin with a glucose molecule attached to it. Cyanidin 3-rutinoside is the same thing as cyanidin 3-glucoside, just with an extra glucose off the first one. Cyanidin 3-glucosylrutinoside just has three glucose molecules.
Cyanidin 3-glucosylrutinoside- Can't find a good picture, but just attach another glucose to the cyanidin 3-rutinoside.
So yes, the tart cherry extract will have anthocyanidins, but that will just be cyanidin. It wont have the anthocyanidins or proanthocyanidins from other plants. It will only contain the things that naturally exist in tart cherry.
