Removing magnesium stearate from capsules?
Original post in this thread

I've purchased piracetam capsules when powder became unavailable. From estimates they have something like 100-150mg magnesium stearate, which I'd like to remove for many reasons (potential harm + reduction of absorption)
Is there a reliable way to do so? I've noticed part of the powder foams on top when mixing with water. I suppose this is mostly the magnesium stearate, is that enough or is there some more reliable procedure?

I've been reading every thing you have been posting on Reddit for the last two years. Literally every thing. Some people visit this site or that site every day to read various things; I visit your user page here on Reddit and read your comments. That's what led me to trust you so much. I've learned a lot about the supplement industry by reading your posts. I've read many of your, what you call, rants. Why not write up all of your thoughts in a professional way and post them as articles on your site? Then, when you release a product with magnesium stearate, and you know the hullabaloo that's coming, you can just link to your article on that product's listing, rather than spend your time expounding those thoughts again and again on Reddit. You know that when you release a product with certain ingredients (like magnesium stearate), there are going to be certain issues brought up about those ingredients in the reviews and on Reddit. So why not be proactive and address those issues beforehand in the product's listing?
Write an article about magnesium stearate, phenibut texture differences, and any of the other recurrent headaches you experience and rail about on Reddit. I know you've already done all the research, so you can explain away the nonsense from other websites by referencing and explaining those scientific studies in your own articles. You already know all the pr…

Yeah, perhaps I should. I have just been on Reddit so long, I am used to posting long explanations here. The magnesium stearate issue would be a good one to have in a blog, though. The phenibut thing is trickier, as we need to be very careful about what we talk about with synthetics on the site. So that one is probably not going to happen on the site. However, the magnesium stearate one could. The main issue is that while some people would see it, many people would not. So it probably would not stop posts/comments on Reddit about it, and I would still need to address them individually. However, at least I could link them to the blog. Also, we did try that with our when to take supplements blog.

Some people really liked it, but it did not get nearly the traffic and response that product-specific blogs do. However, at least it is there and we can link it if needed. So perhaps a magnesium stearate blog in the same format would be good.
