Tracking says shipped but nothing?

Hello,
I made a big order worth close to 500$. The tracking says it was delivered at 14:48 yesterday. Thing is, there's nothing anywhere! It was late, around 22:30 when I looked at the tracking and saw that it was supposedly delivered and looked for it. What do you do when that happens? There was nobody home at 14:48.

t's kind of interesting that in one post several hours ago, this user said the package was left "2 meters from the walkway" and then two hours later said they just got in touch with the delivery company who showed him a picture of it "2 meters away" from the walkway... as if they had only just discovered that. I would take an extra precaution or two ensuring the honesty of this customer. This kind of thing is also suspect with more expensive orders, right, because there is more to gain.
In the end, I have no idea how you handle things like this. I would hope that you do your best to figure out what's most fair.
Also... lots of packages don't have to be signed for. It's a little strange that this person is surprised that the package was left at the door. As if this never happened before and they didn't take precautions to make sure it didn't happen again...
Just my spidey senses tingling.
Only mentioning this to help out since you guys have been kind of unbelievable as a company so far. Super happy to have found you.

Thanks for looking out! However, he is a long time customer of ours. He's bought regularly for a few years. So he's good. It would be a long con to try and butter us up for a few years to just get a free package. Haha. We always look at history of things before making a decision on things, because you are right, people do try to scam us a lot. Luckily this is not one of those times, though.
