Lion's Mane has been a godsend

Lion's mane has been a godsend. It is nothing short of a small miracle. I've had cognitive issues and pain issues for 11 years since my last major TBI. I was improving due to a stack of nootropics.
Adding Lion's Mane to my stack has vastly improved my intellectual capacity. Today is my one month anniversary on Lion's Mane. My mental capacity has improved to a level I could only have dreamnt of! It has improved my cognition, vastly improved my short term memory, and mental stamina. I would no longer be exhausted after reading a few pages of books. I no longer gets headaches when encountering difficult scientific words (which I often do reading this sub or the scientific papers attached to articles). It has greatly improved my ability to learn and remember. I am recovering bits and fragments of lost long-term memories. Am I all the way back to my former intellect? No, but I am increasingly confident I will.
Many years ago doctors couldn't help me. I asked the universe for help. My prayers are being answered. I am ever so grateful. Thank you universe.

interesting. why did you stop using nammex as your supplier? did you find out they source their mushrooms from china? I know I did. I emailed them and they told me, its not economically possible for US to grow its own medicinal mushrooms. Most of the US grown mushroom products are just mycelium and grain. Fast, easy, simple and deceitful. OM told me they actually grow theirs on oats and actually using mycelium and fruit bodies as whole works much better. Studies do not seem to support their theory tho. So far, I am confused where to turn to. RealMushrooms are good quality products, but source from China. ANd they claim US will not grow medicinal mushrooms because its not economically feasible. So im very curious as your sources now, and also the idea of growing the mushrooms yourselves. As far as I know, to get the whole process going is very expensive and time consuming. Unless you are like OM, just use mycelium and grow them quick and easy, using oats.

I always knew they used Chinese farms. That is not a surprise. We just like to control more of the process than most companies. So ultimately we bring things in-house if we can. There is nothing inherently wrong with China. There are good manufacturers and bad ones like anywhere else. However, I value being able to oversee and control every step of the process. I also think having less reliance on China is a good thing, and if there are ways we can have Americans here doing things instead, we should attempt to do so. Lowering carbon emissions from so much shipping around the world is a good idea, too. So if we can setup more localized operations without making it insanely more expensive, it's a win/win.
It is difficult to grow mushrooms in the US and compete with the price from China, that's true. However, it is not impossible. We have made some relationships with really smart people here in the US that have figured out ways to double and quadruple yield sizes from the same growth media. So while we can't compete with the overhead costs with China, if we can get get 4X the yields from the same growth media, we can bridge that gap. Yes, this whole thing is very expensive and time consuming. That's for sure. I am funding it all through Nootropics Depot's other operations. If we were just selling mushrooms, there is no way I would be able to afford to do what we are doing. However, we are very diversified now, and I can justify losing money on a project for a while if I think we can make it work down the road. You just have to work smarter. I have some of the world's most knowledgeable mushroom researchers on my team now, and we have come up with some very creative ways to make US production economically feasible.
