Greens Powders

Original post in this thread

u/misteryouaresodumb I don’t think the possibility of a greens powder from ND/Natrium has ever been mentioned, but curious if this has been discussed at all? Have you used any of these products in the past? Would be interested to know how some of the leading brands test in terms of accuracy of ingredients given how many ingredients these often list. Thanks!

Yeah, no objective measurements, just felt better taking it than off. Greens+ is a company that's been around for a very long time.

I take Quatrefolic, does the same thing apply? Or is it just synthetic folic acid?

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb

Quatrefolic is a trademarked name for the glucosamine salt of methyltetrahydrofolate. It's more bioavailable than regular folic acid.

It looks like Greens+ was under Orange Peel Enterprises Inc since 1989. They were in Florida. However, they filed for bankruptcy in 2016 and shut down. The Greens+ trademarks were sold off to a guy in California. It's a totally different company running it now. You can see that in the history of the product, too. The existing Amazon listing was only started in 2016. Greens Plus LLC is the new owner, but they have only been around since 2017. Based on business filings, they only have 2 employees. So that means they use contract manufacturers and contract fulfillment companies for everything. In fact, the new owner of Greens Plus has another job. It's all on his LinkedIn. He runs Greens Plus on the side. LOL. This shit is all in public filings and reports. I won't dox him, but he is definitely leaning on the "We have been a brand since 1989" thing a lot, but that's not exactly accurate. The Greens+ trademark was filed in 1997. Orange Peel Enterprises existed since 1989, but went bankrupt and shut down in 2016. The current owner has been in business since 2017.

So Greens+ as a trademark has been around for a while. However, the company currently selling it has only been around since 2017. That company is just a customer facing brand with 2 employees. The manufacturing of that product is all done at contract manufacturers. I would be willing to bet money that the current formulation of Greens+ is not the same as it was under the original company Orange Peel Enterprises. You can verify any of this yourself. You can find all the business and bankruptcy filings on the Florida and California Secretary of State and Business Office websites.
